Refrigerant cylinders are regulated as hazardous materials (compressed gas, DOT Hazard Class 2.2). This page explains how and where we ship them.
Where we ship
We ship to street addresses in the 48 contiguous United States. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, P.O. boxes or international destinations.
How we ship
All refrigerant cylinders travel by ground service only, packed and labeled under U.S. Department of Transportation hazardous materials rules (49 CFR). Air, overnight and expedited services are not available for refrigerant. Water heaters and boilers contain no hazardous material and also ship by standard ground.
Processing time
Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days after payment clears. Orders that contain EPA-restricted refrigerant are processed after we verify the buyer’s certification (see EPA Certification). If we cannot verify it, we cancel and refund the order in full.
Delivery time
Most orders arrive within 7 to 10 business days from the day you order, including processing time. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, and can vary with the destination and the carrier. You will receive a tracking number by email when your order ships.
Shipping cost
Shipping is free on every order to a street address in the 48 contiguous United States.
Inspect your delivery
Please inspect cylinders when they arrive. If a package is damaged, a cylinder is dented or a valve is leaking, do not use the product. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos, and we will arrange a replacement or refund.
State and local rules
Some states, including California, have additional rules for small containers of automotive refrigerant. We will not ship a product to an address where its sale is restricted, and we will contact you if an item in your order is affected.
